Some concrete calculations in preparation of our first pour. It took a few times (a second company and Kjell's patience) to get the mix right. These moments offer reminders that you're in a developing country and things may be a tad different than home! (Vientiane, Lao)

With the truck unable to enter the space despite numerous attempts it was an assemble line as each person had their role. Ideally the day wouldn't have been so windy causing leaves from the beautiful tree to imprint itself into the wet concrete! NOTE: Surprisingly these wheelbarrows survived the entire build. With it being proven the truck couldn't enter the space we went with the pump option, a normal and approved approach with the flats. The flats were poured over two days with fortunately little wheelbarrowing! (Vientiane, Lao)

The delightful bunch of volunteers who with locals built the first skatepark in Lao. Always such a bonding experience pulling in new and old friends from across the globe, living in each others pockets in a foreign and welcoming city whilst spending long sweaty days delivering a skatepark. A group of people who have individually experienced the positive outcomes of a skatepark in one place or another and therefore believes yet another city and community deserve to have these experiences themselves.
