A confronting site to put it mildly. Taking a couple of days off from work I visited Bethlehem, a town famed for its religious context. This section of the wall is one of the most documented due to the town being a tourist destination. The impact of the scale and bleakness of this concrete divide doesn't seem to reduce despite the amount of times that you see it throughout the divided territories.

These watch towers dot the wall as it forms the border in Bethlehem and beyond. The painted murals attempt to offer some colour, aesthetics and politically commentary to the prison appearance. The delightful Trump offers his own feelings.

The one positive aspect of the wall is its blank canvas. Here Trump appreciates this wall for the future potential of his own. Although the wall stretches throughout the countries its in Bethlehem that its offered some visual appeal through the work of local and international artists.

One of the renowned Bansky pieces on the wall in Bethlehem. Most are seemingly covered up as they've become more well known. His stature and passion for the topic extends to a hotel/cafe/museum (The Walled Off) that looks onto the wall. Well worth a visit to gain further understanding of both sides.

One of the main fruit sellers throughout Nablus. This friendly guy is parked out the front of the 'services' (taxi buses) depot. When buying myself some fruit his inflated prices offered a laugh to the nearby drivers who told me what I should be paying. Either way still a bargain.

The descent from Mount Gerizim and the Samaritan village offered numerous vistas of Nablus. Spying the mosque the driver allowed a quick diversion to stop and appreciate the view, here the local mosque offers its towering minarets to puncture the skyline with the hectic city sprawling its way up the surrounding hills. Not sure of the name of the mosque as Google Maps only offers a blurred aerial of this part of the world.
